Asset Tags

The available asset tags in VisionLink Productivity are Hauler - Load & Haul, Loader - Load & Haul, Load Out, ScraperGrade, Compact and Support. You can assign only one tag per asset. Read on to know more about the following asset tags:

  1. Hauler – Load & Haul: Denotes any asset that hauls material around the site after being loaded by loaders. The hauler interactions with the loader helps to ensure calculation of cycle counts accurately. If haulers are set up but there are no zones or loaders setup, then there will be no cycles calculated unless it is sending Advanced Productivity data.

  2. Loader – Load & Haul: Loaders are used to load haulers. If the loader does not interact with hauler, then the loader should be considered as load out or support, based on the site operation. The cycles are calculated based on the interaction of the loader and hauler, without this interaction the cycle count accuracy could be affected.

If the loader is performing work without interacting with haulers but tagged as Loader - Load & Haul, then the cycle calculation may be derived incorrectly.

If the loader is tagged as Loader - Load & Haul, but performing load out or support work, then it is expected much of the work will be incorrectly recorded.

  3. Load Out: This asset tag denotes loading on highway trucks and does not require interaction between the hauler and loader. It requires only Advanced Productivity data to display KPI values.

In case of excavators, the Loading in Payload Standby is also considered a productive cycle.

This cycle is active when excavators perform load activities while the payload system on the machine is on standby.

  4. Scraper: This indicates wheel tractor scraper assets. It requires only Advanced Productivity data to display KPI values.

  5. Grade: These assets push and clear excavated material off the site to allow further construction work. Includes track type tractors.

  6. Compact: Includes all compaction assets such as compactors and vibratory single drum smooth and compact machines. These assets work to compact subsoils and materials on a site.

On Insights Map, you can view a combined asset tag Grade & Compact. When selected, this will display corresponding map data for all grade and compact assets within the site.

  7. Support: An asset tag for assets that assist with another asset in site during malfunction.

• The assets are auto-tagged based on few criteria. Refer to Auto Tag for more information on auto tagging of assets.
• If the assets are auto-tagged, then the assets are assigned with tags. Refer to Configure Assets for more information on assigning tags and configuring capacity values for the assets.
• To load both productivity and grade data for hydraulic excavators, select Loader or Load Out asset tag.
• To learn more about the different reports and corresponding supporting asset tags, refer to Asset Tags for Each Report Type.
• Refer to Estimated Volume and Measured Volume to learn more about Grade and Compact KPI parameters and definitions.
